Pastors & Ministry Leaders’ Day 2026 Recap
We had a blessed 2026 Pastors & Ministry Leaders’ Day under the Gold Dome. There were new faces in attendance as well as among our speakers and exhibitors. Pastor Seth Hon of Grace Baptist (Columbus, GA) gave a moving gospel message at the legislators’ breakfast. Lt. Governor Burt Jones and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger were our lunch speakers. They shared many of their accomplishments from the last few years and answered questions about their legislative stances and records. Several legislators shared throughout the day about current legislation with the attendees. Sen. Greg Dolezal reminded us that we are in a battle to protect Western ideals and values, including the nuclear family, our right to freedom of religion, and our right to support our families. He, and Rep. Josh Bonner, challenged us to be intentionally involved in public policy because, when Christians do not engage, we should not be surprised when our biblical values are not represented.
One of the most important elements of the day is when attendees meet with their legislators. This is an opportunity for pastors & ministry leaders to share their perspectives on legislation with their legislators and even pray with them. This is especially important because those in elected office know that these pastors are presenting the perspectives of dozens of other people from their churches. If you attended and got your legislator’s contact information, please do not hesitate to reach out about important issues. It is our responsibility as citizens to help shape the policies we live under.
We had several phenomenal sponsors this year. We are so grateful to our event sponsor, Families 4 Families, and the work they do around Georgia to connect churches with children in foster care and encourage Christian families to become foster families. Lifeline Children’s Services, one of our new exhibitors, sponsored our legislative breakfast. Lifeline also promotes church involvement with the foster care system. One of their greatest burdens, in addition to adoptions, is to assist children aging our of foster care with career readiness and other training to help them lead successful lives.
Thank you to everyone who sponsored or attended our 2026 Pastors & Ministry Leaders’ Day! Your faithful support of our ministry helps us continue our work at the Capitol and around our state, and it is a huge encouragement.
