2024 Annual Conference Recap

“I would just like to let you know how much I appreciate you and your team’s ministry. I really enjoyed my first conference. It was very informative and every speaker brought something worthwhile to me. The Lord was uplifted and I believe your mission was accomplished! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to our Savior and our state! God Bless!” [Attendee at the 2024 Annual Conference]

Tim Goeglein, Keynote Speaker

On Thursday, August 22 we held the Citizen Impact Annual Conference at Peoples Baptist Church (see pictures below). We have a great conference staff, of course, and the Peoples Church staff and volunteers were amazing and so helpful! Each speaker at the conference brought timely and enlightening messages. Senators Greg Dolezal and Brian Strickland gave some great information on how to communicate with your state legislators effectively. Maureen Van Den Berg with American Association of Christian Schools, also, gave a report on current legislation and court cases being debated in Washington, DC.

Tim Goeglein, Vice President of External and Governmental Affairs at Focus on the Family, was the keynote speaker. Tim spoke on what it was like to be a Christian working for the George W. Bush Administration during the post 9/11 era. He also shared some of the incredible experiences he has had working in Washington, DC and debating the pro-life issue on Ivy League University campuses. Tim challenged us to pray; stand for our Biblical Worldview; and get involved in local and federal politics. He believes that if we do this, the greatest days of America will be ahead of us.

We asked for contributions at the conference to help with expenses of the Annual Conference and overall ministry finances. If you were unable to attend but would still like to help, click this link. You can give for just general operating expenses, or there are several areas you can give specifically for: conference expenses, Washington DC trip this month, scholarship account, seasonal intern expenses, or for printing/replenishing education and promotional materials. To designate, click this link, select an amount to give, click Donate, then on the next page after entering your info, use the Comments section to designate what your gift is for. (Note: This link allows you to give by debit/credit care or bank draft from your checking account.)
